Long weekend….

Even though it rained all weekend, we had such a nice time hanging out together.

I have some sweet video of Celie singing “how great is our God” on our way back from picking up Libby’s new carseat on Saturday. She and I went alone and Matthew stayed home while Libby napped. I have been working with her every day on using her whole mouth when she speaks and sings, I tell her not to have a lazy mouth. She is really funny when she actually does it, she really takes it over the top, but it does get the job done. Matthew said I “stole” doing that with her so I can complain when EVERYONE and their grandmother tells HIM what a great job he has done with her singing. As if. I mean, it has already started. And I get it, he is a music leader. Everyone just assumes he is the only one that sings with/to/influences what she hears. Actually, it is just the opposite. So I did not “steal” the work from him, it is just something I started with her because I want people to understand her when she sings and speaks. Not so I could complain when he gets all the kudos for it. I just expect that to happen. Annnnyhew….. she also added in some interpretive movements with her singing and it was so sweet.

I also want to do 2 product reviews. I am not getting paid for these. I was not given anything for it, and was not asked to review them. I just love the products and wanted to share.

About 7 months ago, we ordered the Eureka Floor Steamer.  It is AMAZING! I am serious. I tried 2 other brands before getting this one and it really is the nest one I have used. The cord is pretty long, it holds a lot of water, the surface area it covers is pretty large, and the actual heat/steam gets hotter than almost all of the other ones on the market. I was steaming 1-2 times a week with another brand and was also doing the swiffer wet jet 1-2 times a week. The first few times I used this steamer you would not believe how much extra dirt and muck I got up! Now, I just get the normal, weekly build up dirt up. And you can tell a marked difference when you walk, barefoot, on the floor. You get 2 cleaning pads with it and can wash them (don’t dry) in the washing machine. I just do mine every other week with straight bleach in my machine. It gets the pads clean AND washes out my washer.

The other machine I love is the Hoover Steam-Vac floor steamer. I had not used any other brands of floor steamers, but did a LOT of research on it. I looked and read for about 7 months before we got this. Amazing. As if you need me to tell you above the 2,063 other reviews you can read on Amazon. And all over the internet if you look. We boiled the water we used before using it, as directed in the reviews, for best results. Matthew did the seats and floors in his car and I should have taken a picture of the water that came out of that bad boy. It was pretty much just a container of black mud. And the seats and floors look AMAZING. Truly. Like a new car. It did take a while. He did his car while I put up/canned some peas. And cleaned up all the mess. So, it was about 60-90 minutes, including cleanup, steaming and water boiling. Celie’s carpet is next. I am super excited to see how it turns out. I will take some pictures of that, I know you will be so excited to see them.

So that’s all I have right now. Boring, I know. Sorry.
